I seriously have nothing against the Dodgers and actually the Gibson HR for them was one of the first sports moments I was fully able to appreciate the insanity of but pretty much anything done in the service of the Detroit Tigers is superior to anything done in the service of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
KS, you are a man of deep wisdom and what you say is so obviously true that it should be in the Bible or The Constitution or at the very least in a Harry Potter book or something so that the children may learn the right way.
And Harpo, yes, he hit six home runs in the 1987 World Series which saw the Tigers sweep the Cardinals and then he hit 18 more after coming out of retirement in late 2006 to help the Tigers sweep the Cards once again. Other than that, I heard vague rumors that he once did something for the Dodgers in 1988 but the game was never televised and I'm sure your Oakland A's took that series in 5 games AT THE VERY MOST.

ReplyDeleteHuh, Kirk Gibson hit other World Series homers besides this one? I'm not at all sure that is true.
