Nats 4, Mets 0 - Probably Best to Just Move On

"You said you would help me, Magic Floating Bat."

I am certain that if any Met fan was told before the season that they'd be 4-2 after their first six games, any one of them would have signed for it on the spot, so I'm not THAT bummed that it is exactly where we find ourselves but maaaaan.

First off, it needs to be said that this Washington pitching is for reals.  The rotation, the bullpen, they can throw quality arm after quality arm at you and leave you SHOOK.  Of course it all stems from the guy on top, Strasburg, who was great today, including some otherworldly pitches he throw past Ike Davis (who despite acting a damn fool was actually able to collect himself and get his first hit of the season off Strasburg later on.)

Wright is still out but Collins expects him to play on Friday against the Phillies but keep in mind that this medical estimation is brought to you by the Mets training staff which I'm pretty sure was responsible for the sinking of the Titanic when they told the ship to just put a boot on it and go out and play.

Another great outing for Santana who reached 100 pitches and stayed intact, but that was it for today.  Tip your hat to the Nationals, welcome them to their era of dominance and just get out of their way.  Now go down there and show the Phillies what for.

It will be a late recap on Friday as I will be AT THE GAME, but it will be worth it with some awesome self-taken photos (awesomeness not guaranteed).
