NATS RISE TO GLORY game twenty-one

So with Maximum Scherzer having strained his self last week batting, which of course ensued a P interview melee of to DH or not to DH, where an AL dude like Scherzer is like "lol I'm cool not hitting ever" but then that Madison Bumgardner fucker (pure baseball name) is like "lol he's a bitch, pitchers should have to hit always, and also fight tigers but with baseballs, and also tradition yall, without tradition, we are nothing but monkeys." So with all that having happened the young AJ Cole, hot prospect for the future, got the call up (or geographically actually down) from Syracuse to pitch for the night. PROMISING PROSPECT TAKES THE BUMP TO TURN AROUND LOSING STREAK. Unfortunately my man gave up 9 runs in 2 complete innings, and hit the showers early in terms of innings but was it really all that early in terms of time? It takes a while to score 9 runs in the modern game.
So the team that can't score for shit was getting bombed, actually down 10 to 2 going into the 5th fucking inning, seemingly insurmountable odds for this fucking pack. And yet, led by the wacky "stoked" ugliness that is Dan Uggla, they started chipping away at it. They got 4 back in the 5th, but kept giving up spot runs here or there. Went into the 7th down 11 to 6, but got 3 more back. Went into the 9th down 12 to 10, and scored another 3, to seal a coming back from EIGHT RUNS DOWN to actually win this fucker. And even more miraculously, it didn't come unraveled in the bottom of the 9th, as Drew Storen held on. Uggla ended up going 3-for-5, with 5 RBIs, but most importantly got the 3-run homer in the 9th that saved the game. All in all, it was a great comeback, but when you have to outscore 12 runs to end a six-game losing streak, it's hard to want to break out the champagne. Nonetheless, a win.
Nats are 8-13.
