Guardians 6, Blue Jays 1: Three Two-Run Homeruns Is So Many Of Them

José Ramirez still seems headed to the Hall of Fame
(in case you had been wondering)

A bullpen day, then, to open this crucial series in Cleveland against these fairly likeable Guardians, and though we have come to welcome bullpen days generally, this one saw fully three of guys ("Big Spaghetti" Spencer Arrighetti, returning lefty Joe Mantiply, and new friend Michael Lorenzen) each touched for a two-run homer, all whilst, on the other side of things, the Guards' Gavin Williams, for his part, allowed just two hits and a walk whilst striking out thirteen over seven admirably (in a begrudging sense) efficient innings. Rats! It feels like we are more than a little "up against it" as Dylan Cease heads to the hill Wednesday, but who would you rather have out there than 2026 Dylan Cease? A big game from Cease, and something of a similar complexion Thursday afternoon from Soriano, and we're still feeling pretty good! I think!
